Bamboo screens and a granite bench nestled amongst white-flowering plants
A blue boundary fence behind an orange raised bed outside a garden building, planted with native woodland plants
A raised bed for growing vegetables clad in bronze sits in front of paths set at 45 degree angles to open up the gardens width and allow for bigger planting beds
A modern garden with an outdoor kitchen and accent colours to create visual impact

My Work

A garden can come in many forms and guises. The gardens i have chosen to showcase here were picked to show just how diverse my work is.

I have included before and after images of the same areas of the garden for you to see the transition from old to new

Overgrown and uninspiring corner of a garden
A bespoke garden office building with attached swing seat
An ugly patio and old, broken fencing
A new fence and dense, colourful planting
A very messy side return full of weeds and old toys
A pink wall houses a raised bed full of vibrant planting whilst a new path leads to a new gate making this side return a place with character
A broken, rundown greenhouse surrounded by weeds
A broken, rundown greenhouse surrounded by weeds
A blue tiled raised bed sits behind a floating patio and an orange wall blocks off the view from the rest of the garden, making this a secret space perfect for evening relaxation in the setting sun.
A run down, uninspiring and overgrown garden
A path dissects the garden with green fencing on the boundaries, large steps into the garden and dense planting beds
A rotten old shed and overgrown shrubs surrounded by weeds
Pleached trees, a geometric path and a water feature in front of a bespoke hit-or-miss green fence
A messy garden without a path and used for dumping unwanted materials
A garden now full of life with paths that enable the users to access the rear gate and visual interest in all directions
A barren wall, dominating a large part of the garden
Dense planting beds and herringbone paths take the eye away from the domineering wall, whilst a raised bed and hedging in front of it diminishes its dominance.
Random plants with no cohesion sit in front of old, tired fence panels
A new patio situated to catch the late afternoon sun is surrounded by planting, which, as it develops, will wrap around it and green the boundaries. The old fences have been given new life with a dark wood stain which helps to enhance the planting.
A barren area, devoid of life, save for this Acer Dissectum
Bamboo screens and a granite bench nestled amongst white-flowering plants
Looking out of the living room window onto this soulless, uninspiring front garden was something the owners were desperate to change.
Now the view is alive with plants, cohesion, visual interest and a variety of forms and textures.
The grey slate added to a feeling of greyness when entering and leaving the house.
Now the front of the house is alive and the greyness has disappeared. What's more, the front garden is now a statement to what is possible with some imagination and courage to just 'go for it'.
